oh, the razor blade

the metropolitan museum 

went to fashions night out at free people yesterday

literally one of my favourite shops - it plays host to such fabulous designs

i got this lovely shirt the other day from the shirt brand equipment, which i hadn't heard of until then, but it drew me right in with its delicate hawaiian print

also found this rather morbid, yet fascinating necklace at mark jacobs - razor blade in perspex anyone?

lots of you have been asking about how i did the 'pinball wizard' nails

and its very simple, just very time consuming

firstly you paint the nail with a base coat, then dip it straight into the pot of silver balls and take it out

then when dry do a top coat

et voila!

(quick sneak peek of a purse i made)

when i was out shopping in a craft store i came across these pots of thousands of tiny metal balls

and thought, hey, why don't i smother my nails in them

so i did

and although they didn't stick perfectly i kind of like them

possibly not for everyday, as well, they fall off if you do anything more than try to open a can

i sent a picture after i'd done them to a friend, proud as i was after painstakingly dipping every nail in the pot - possibly why I've never heard of anyone doing this before

she replied with: Brilliant nails. They're ridiculous.

this may have something to do with the picture she received too

mid waisted knickers with low rise shorts?

strange? yes. comfy? no, not when the cropped top with boning sticks in and the knickers aren't quite high enough. still work wearing? yes, the pattern and gold zips - such a vibrant design. 

I've also taken to wearing flowers and bandanas in my hair; just cause that way it really feels like summer

the print nails are the best foils i've ever used - sally hansen i love you

i've only ever seen them in america and they work like a charm, last forever too
