concrete jungle

the other day me and a friend decided to pop down to susie from style bubble yard sale and bbq
it had some great stuff at great prices
mmm every things sweeter when it was a bargain

love her style, she makes me want to experiment with my own outfits more

i'll finish up this post with a little bit of my outfit
i seem to be drawn to embellished pieces at the moment
so my magpie eye is picking out anything with sequins and stacks of jewellery

cardi - h&m, top - whistles, skirt - asos, boots - office

any specific posts people would like me to do?
speak to y'all later

francesco cominelli

francesco cominelli is an italian born stylist, he’s currently living in paris and works at vogue hommes international

i decided to share these photos of him in my first menswear post, because i simply love almost everything he wears
well, with his favourite designers including prada and mcqueen you know the man has class

as cominelli makes very clear, designer isn’t everything, he covets vintage one-off pieces
he says ‘I love when people don’t recognize what I’m wearing even if they work in fashion—that means that I’m doing my job’

having admired many a cominelli outfit, it’s clear he has a thing for watches

and this is something he must take pride in as all his accessories look like they were meticulously picked to compliment the outfit perfectly

although, i have to say i’m usually more of a fan a simply dressed guy, who can look stylish in a tshirt, jeans and sneakers, i do have to compliment cominelli’s ability to mix textures and colours beautifully

forthcoming men's wear posts will include some collection photos of styles i like the most

to come next will be photos from a bbq and clothes sale i went to yesterday

the sound of white

i've been looking for a sheer white shirt for a while now
and finally found this one in h&m
i think it does the trick

i love women wearing menswear, i think its the easiest way for a woman to look sexy in a sophisticated and chic way
i would have worn only the shirt if i'd had a choice but i'm feeling that wouldn't have been street appropriate

i feel like a massive weight has been lifted since i got my a level results
they mean i'll be heading to central saint martins for a foundation degree in about 2 weeks!
despite this i feel very out of sorts, like somethings a miss
which means i change about 5 times a day
each outfit becoming more and more eccentric..

shirt - h&m, chinos - asos, bag - h&m

i got so many clothes i keep some at my aunts house

top - valentino jeans, harem shorts - whistles, satchel bag - designed/made in morocco

on a recent trip to visit my family i decided to pack in the most efficient way i'd ever done
this, however, is not my forte, i'm more of a pack the day you're leaving, and mix and match all the clothes type of person

i managed to pack in 'capsule wardrobe' style
going for mostly tailored and neutral things
hoping that all my outfits would look polished with minimal effort

it was suggested to me by a reader, Will, that i do some posts on men's wear
i'm now preparing one as we speak!
i think this is a really interesting idea cause i draw a lot of my own styles from menswear

tune in soon, laters

dancing in my wooden shoes

dress - borrowed, brogues - KG, wedges - topshop, bag - mulberry

yes, i did change my shoes..
but lets face it 6 inch wedges aren't practical to go for a walk in
i did however think they went with this dress
so i carried them around in my mahoosive mary poppins esque bag

i preferred them to the flats here
because, whilst i'm all for the romanticism look, there has to be an edge to the outfit and the brogues were a little too cutesy for me

and hello and welcome to all the new followers :)

that's why they call it window pane

my computers been invaded my viruses
why is it all bad things happen at once
the fact i lost all 30GB worth of music was just the cherry on top...

london weather has been such a mix at the moment so i took a break from redecorating to sit in the sun for a while
and yes, i did go for the quintessential 50s housewife look when cleaning

and another thing, what do you guys think of the new header?
i feel it makes the page look much neater, but with a grungy edge

they'll be an outfit post tomorrow

we need a moral education, to set the young minds free

i think grunge is possibly one of my favorite styles
although i like to vary my looks,
the mix between feminine and harsh gets me every time
plus it means i can pile on the jewellery

yeh, we like to dress up..
dress - asos, waistcoat - borrowed, hat - the new york hat co. , shoes - kurt geiger, jewellery - various, sunglasses - thrifted

my next post will include some shots from my holiday to gran canaria,
both of my friends and my outfits
again, surprise surprise, i veered towards the grungy look..
i'm also feeling for the addition of a romantic edge to my ensembles at the moment so expect another outfit post soon

and below is the fab photographer
